For over 40 years, our nation has celebrated our planet every April. For around the same amount of time, DMP has designed and installed onsite wastewater treatment facilities for industrial manufacturers – like car and electronics makers – and food producers. As we celebrate Earth Day again on this day – April 22, 2019 – we reflect on the thousands of projects we’ve designed for manufacturers. It wasn’t just about getting a food producer in compliance or water usage efficiency using effective wastewater recycle and reuse strategies – it was about preserving one of our world’s most significant resources – water. This is sometimes overlooked in day-to-day operations, but it is an important responsibility. A responsibility we take pride in.
With the circular economy concept, the maximum value of resources is used to preserve resources like water. At DMP, we’re committed to helping manufacturers save not only money but also save water. Wastewater doesn’t always have to go down the drain. It can be recycled and reused for other parts of a product manufacturing process. By using the circular economy concept, we ensure manufacturers optimally use their wastewater.
In addition to the circular economy concept, DMP indirectly supports municipal wastewater treatment goals. We do not provide treatment solutions to municipal wastewater treatment facilities – which allows us to focus on wastewater strategies streamlined for industrial manufacturers – however, we keep manufacturers in compliance with city discharge limits. This saves the city from an influx of wastewater contaminants they weren’t prepared to handle. Manufacturers are merely trying to provide jobs, goods, and services for people around the world. To ensure they do that without being a detriment to their city’s water and wastewater facilities, DMP takes the worry out of wastewater.
With experience dating back to the early 1970s, DMP understands industrial wastewater for the small and mid-size market better than the rest. On top of that, we don’t just sell equipment, install it, and leave the client to figure it out on their own. We continue to work with the client to ensure they consistently meet POTW discharge limits and respect our planet with optimal wastewater usage.
The state of Illinois recently issued a shelter in place order for all workers and businesses considered non-essential by The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (“CISA”), an agency in the Department of Homeland Security.
According to the memorandum, DMP & ISC – A DMP Corp Company – is considered a critical manufacturing company due to our supplying mission-critical chemicals required for the operation of the rail and wastewater industries. As a result, our primary chemical manufacturing facility in Illinois will continue to operate.
We will continue to receive and fill orders through this difficult time to support our customers and will keep you posted on any new information that may affect your business. Read more here.
