Midwest Sales and Service Sales | Greater Chicago Area | Full Time
Responsible for managing assigned chemical sales territory. Effectively maintaining chemical business base as well as identifying and closing new chemical and equipment business.
- Sell a variety of chemicals to be used in different industries, with a focus on metal finishing and food and beverage facilities.
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results report in Sales Force and providing annual territory analysis.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; attending trade shows and participating in professional societies.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
Manage sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities including leveraging entire sales organization to drive both chemical and mechanical sales growth.
Forecast sales to enable operations planning, introduction of product innovation and staffing requirements.
- Between 5-7 years of relevant sales and territory management experience.
Ability to effectively use Sales Force as a sales management tool.
Experienced using Microsoft Suite Tools
Education 4-year degree; preferred chemical, chemical engineer, or science degree
